Larimar Blue Topaz and Apatite Luxe Bracelet

Bohemian glamour at its finest, our gorgeous larimar, blue topaz and blue apatite bracelet conjures the romance of a tropical paradise with stunning gemstones that evoke the bright blue water of the Caribbean Sea. The perfect combination of smooth cabochon cut larimar stones, pear- and oval-cut sparkling faceted topaz and raw apatite stones gives a dramatic multi-textured effect. Each individual stone is set in lush high-shine sterling silver by skilled artisans and combined into a beautiful gemstone mosaic bracelet of gorgeous ocean blue tones.

Larimar is a type of pectolite that is only found in the Dominican Republic with distinctive patterns and inclusions of white and various shades of blue. Traces of copper give the stone its distinct coloration: the beautiful translucent shades of soft sky blues, white and turquoise marked with streaks and cloud-like patterns of white. Though locally abundant, Larimar is a rare gem material as it is found only in the Caribbean. It is thought to be a stone of tranquility, cooling tempers, calming fears, and relieving stress. It is also a stone of clear communication, manifesting the courage needed to speak openly and to communicate deep emotions.

Topaz has been found in jewellery made by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. It naturally occurs in a variety of colours, from colourless to yellow, brown and pink. The blue variety is especially highly prized for its gentle, sky-blue tones and brilliant refractive qualities that create a dazzling sparkle. Blue topaz is believed by many to promote good fortune, excellent health and great clarity, and to aid in sharpening the mind and focusing the wearer’s thoughts.

Apatite also occurs in a variety of colours, from brown to pale yellow through green to deep blue. For this reason, the name Apatite is derived from a Greek word meaning "to deceive" because the variety of colours and inclusions in which this stone occurs makes it easy to mistake for other minerals. Blue apatite is the most highly prized for the intensity of its colour: a bright, mermaid blue. Apatite is thought to clear away confusion, apathy and negativity, to expand the intellect and to encourage creative problem solving. It is also a powerful motivational stone, promoting independence and ambitiousness.
