Rose Quartz gains its beautiful, pastel rose colour from trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese present in natural Quartz.  As a gemstone, it was so popular in ancient times that Rose Quartz stone masks have been recovered from Egyptian and Roman tombs. Finding Rose Quartz in crystal form is rare and the structure of the crystal makes it photosensitive, so care should be taken to avoid light and heat exposure to avoid fading.

Firstly, your fingers will vary in size depending on the weather and the time of day, mornings and cool weather can reduce your fingers by up to a full size.
